If you are an underwater lover, you should plan to explore Manta Point during your Bali holiday trip. However, before you visit this magnificent diving spot, read along to know more about this special place.

What Is So Special About Manta Point Diving Bali?

Manta Point in Nusa Penida is one of Bali’s best and most popular diving points. One of the reasons is that Manta rays are found swimming in this area all year round!

Aside from the incredible manta rays, you can find other beautiful sea creatures such as eagle rays, macro, marbled rays, sting rays, sharks, and Mola Mola.

Locations and How to Get There

Manta Point is located on Nusa Penida Island, only 1 hour from Sanur in Bali, using a speedboat. You can also directly take the boat to this island from some popular destinations in Bali, such as Nusa Lembongan or Padang Bai.

This popular diving spot is only 20 minutes away from Nusa Lembongan and 40 minutes away from Padang Bai by speedboat. Therefore, if you happen to stay in the villas in these two famous destinations, make sure to spare some time to visit Manta Point Diving Bali

The Weather in Manta Point

Manta Point Diving Bali tends to have nice weather, but the water temperature can be a little cold. While the temperatures of most Bali diving sites are around 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, Manta Point can reach much lower than those, around 15 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Manta Point tends to have minimum to weak current. That is why this diving spot is perfect for discovery divers to experienced divers.

The depth of this diving spot is 8 to 35 meters, with 10 to 20 meters of visibility. That is why you can easily spot the gorgeous manta rays swimming around and other beautiful underwater animals.

Preparation for Diving at Manta Point

Since the water temperature in Manta Point can get a little chilly, you should opt for 5mm wetsuits. If you are very sensitive to cold water, choose the 7mm wetsuit instead. A thicker wetsuit will keep your body warm when you’re underwater.

Get a wetsuit that perfectly fits your body, so you don’t lose too much heat in the water. You don’t want to suddenly get too cold when diving because it can be dangerous!

Aside from a proper wetsuit, prepare a hood, gloves, and booties. These three items will warm your head, hand, and feet when underwater.

Now you know everything about Manta Point Diving Bali. So, what are you waiting for?
