The Baliem Valley Festival is an annual cultural festival where the tribes living near Baliem Valley are gathered and show their tribal attraction such as war dance, pig cooking, traditional music, pig race, etc. The festival usually attended by hundreds of peoples (local tribes), all of them come with their own traditional costumes such as head cover, tattoo, spear, grass skirt, penis gourd, etc.

The Baliem Festival held every August ( the date depend on the local government and local tribe chief agreement)

BALIEM VALLEY FESTIVAL ITINERARY

DAY 01: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL – WAMENA

Upon arrival at Jayapura airport, meeting service by our local staff and then assisted to fly on Trigana within 40 minutes to Wamena. On arriving at Wamena airport, transfer to your hotel the Baliem Pilamo, then proceed to visiting Napua hill & Sinatma village, drive down to the town for having lunch.. continue to Wesaput village to see the hanging bridge, local market, and surrounding. Back to your hotel for dinner on your own and overnight stay.

DAY 02: BALIEM VALLEY FESTIVAL (B,Lunch-Box)

After breakfast, we drive about 30 minutes to Baliem Valley Festival. We will enjoy a wonderful and complete cultural performance from Baliem Valleys Tribes and other tribes. Dani Tribes, Lani Tribes, a few of Yali Tribes, and other tribes that attending this Festival.

** Please note that Car will drop us in the morning and pick up in the afternoon

DAY 03: BALIEM VALLEY FESTIVAL (B,Lunch-Box)

After breakfast, we drive about 30 minutes to Baliem Valley Festival. We will enjoy the wonderful and complete cultural performances from Baliem Valleys Tribes and other tribes. Dani Tribes, Lani Tribes, a few of Yali Tribes, and other tribes that attending this Festival.

DAY 04: WAMENA – JAYAPURA (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Wamena airport for your flight back to Jayapura. In Jayapura, you may have a full day sightseeing tour to visit; Sentani lake. Lunch at a local restaurant (personal expenses). After lunch, continue to visit the Anthropology museum, Hamadi market, and Jayapura city. Afternoon check in to the Aston Jayapura hotel.

DAY 05: JAYAPURA DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to your next destination
