Hello Novi, We are back home in San Francisco.    We wanted to take the time to thank you, and your wonderful company, for allowing us to experience Indonesia in such a rich and varied way.   We thoroughly enjoyed all of the elements of the trip and learned so much about your lovely country.

We will, of course, spread the news about Adventure Indonesia and visiting Indonesia to our friends.   But I wanted to check and see if there was anything else I could do to help spread the word.  I noticed you have a Testimonial section on your site — would it be helpful to write something up about our experiences for this?  Also, I’d written Google reviews in the past and could post something there too if you think its relevant.     A few of the guides we had were extra special – do you recommend a site to write reviews on a few?

Also, thank you for the lovely gifts given to us by Made in Bali.   The tea and coffee are very welcome – we enjoyed both on our trip.  And the shirt is great for Holger, the scarf for me and the lovely map of Indonesia will find a special place in our home.

My husband and I are senior travelers in our 70s and 80s. Seeing the paradise birds in West Papua, especially the Western Parotia male’s mating dance was a big dream of ours, though we had been somewhat reluctant to take it on due to the difficulties of the travel conditions. To be honest, without Adventure Indonesia, especially Carol Rahim’s expertise and hands-on coordination along the trip, I doubt that we would be able to check off this item on our bucket list successfully and with satisfaction!

From day one when I got in touch with Carol online, she impressed me with her thoroughness in detail and timely responsiveness. Her experience in designing customized itinerary was apparent, and that her coordination with every connection was nearly flawless. Even though we encountered a few unexpected situations not due to her fault along the travel, she was always there to answer calls and on top of the situation solving the problems in a timely and efficient manner.The tour guides we had in Jakarta (Ivan) and Bali (Didi) were excellent with fluent English and wealthy knowledge in the history of the country and local culture. We truly enjoyed talking with them and learning from them! The birding guides in West Papua in Waigeo, and in the Arfak mountains are absolutely essential for a successful paradise birding! They are the local residents born and grow up in the region. Without them it is impossible to see the magnificent birds created by our Mother Nature! All these guides are very kind, knowledgeable in their specialties, and willing to help in any situations. All the drivers who took us here and there were always on time and courteous, and the cars were always very clean. 

I don’t know how many people who are thinking of visiting Indonesia, the archipelago country full of beauty and very special people, especially for those who are interested in seeing paradise birds unique in Papua. Hi Novi:  Wow, can you believe it, I am actually getting a chance to write you.  We completed our Malaysia Borneo 15-day birding tour, and it was fantastic.  So much diversity here in South Asia.  It has truly been an amazing trip for us – and it is not over yet.  

We wanted to thank you again for the wonderful itinerary that you set up for us.  Not only were you accommodating our thousands of questions, but when we had to change our arrival location, wow, you immediately rearranged our trip to accommodate that request.  All our local guides were fabulous, we were especially impressed with first guide – Made Budiada (Budi) in Bali.  He has the depth, knowledge and heritage from Bali which made the island culture and history come alive.  He not only answered our questions but he made sure we knew our itinerary, made sure we were on-time, adjusted the schedule as needed and ensured that we were happy with our tour the entire time.  I apologize that I can’t remember our drivers name in Bali but he too was fantastic.  He drove us through awful traffic, narrow roads, over pot holes to rival the Grand Canyon and made suggestions and comments that kept us laughing and happy – even through our 4 hour (snail pace) drive through Canggu.

With you and your team, our 27 day journey was a trip people dream of – and we experienced it.  We know that we will return (our projection is slightly more than a year from now -we will keep you informed,  but further to that, we will absolutely recommend you and your team and Adventure Indonesia to all the folks we know.

Dear Novi, thank you very much for your generous present. It is a big surprise. The journey was perfect organized. The changes of flights is not in your range. But it would be useful if the client gets also the informations. Also helpful would be to specify what a overnight in a Dani house means. It was really very impressiv. On Tuesday I fly back with a lot of positive rememberings.
