How to Get to Tanjung Puting National Park

The entry point to get to Tanjung Puting National Park is Pangkalan Bun, a town in Central Borneo. To reach Pangkalan Bun Airport, there is direct flight available from Jakarta, Surabaya and Semarang. If you depart from Bali or Balikpapan, you need to take flight to one of those 3 cities (Jakarta, Surabaya or Semarang) then connect flight to Pangkalan Bun.

Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, our guide will ready to arrange a private transfer to the town of Kumai, which is located about 20-30 minutes away by car. From Kumai, you'll board a traditional wooden boat called a klotok  to enjoy your tour at Tanjung Puting National Park.
