Hi Novi,
I hope you are well. I just wanted to say a big thank you for arranging our trip. We are now back in Singapore safe and sound. We had an incredible time, all four of the guys on the boat were fantastic (food was very good) and all the activities were mind blowing. The one and only negative to the trip was the A/C units which we couldn’t use for the duration of the trip. When the electricity was working the A/C unit when switched on would cause the generator to make a huge noise and shake the boat- not great when you are trying to sleep. The generator was also switched off around 2 am and so there was no power even for the fan during the night. I only mention this as it was an extra cost to us and we really don’t feel it was worth it. However, as I say we had an amazing time, and will be highly recommending you to our friends. Now, let’s talk about Borneo… 😀

We were very happy with all the aspects. While accommodation was simple, we understood this would be the case, so there were no surprises, even at the beach. Dany was great and the drivers, Rian for our bus and Johnny for the van, were very good. Rian, was very careful and kept the bus very clean. Meals were very good local style, and Dany was able to find places that suited our interests and tastes. We had made suggestion to improve the picnic lunches by having hot water for coffee/tea.

Meeting weavers and dyers was definitely a highlight of the journey and having Dany explain the stories was perfect.

What an amazing crew !!. They made our life so comfortable – and contributed so much to the shoot – we were talking amongst the crew about giving our guide a producer credit on the show that’s how on it he was, and knowing of what we needed to have for a successful shoot in Irian Jaya after the first day on the job – it’s hard to find that sometimes in LA.

Overall i would give your outfit a 10 out of 10, can’t say enough about how well we were all taken care of and the knowledge of the area we traveled was unbelievable. Your guys turned out to be some of our best assets on the team out there.

The episode airs in november on the travel channel. I’ll send you a copy of the show when we finish cutting it and there is going to be an article in the october issue of outside magazine based on the expedition – will include some of those as well
