D1 – ARRIVAL DAY (Dinner)
Afternoon arrival at Rumah Desa. Before you get in your room, you’ll be served a welcome drink and a light lunch. The afternoon is the time to experience Bali's daily life, such as making offerings, Boreh making (Herbal Medicine), writing Balinese scrip on Lontar leaf and learning about Calendar Bali), checking in the room, making cake and coffee break continuing to rice field (paddy planting and flowing with cows), free program until dinner time.
D2 – A DAY IN BALINESE LIFE (B, L, D)
Wake up early to have your breakfast.
After breakfast, we go to the local market, where you can pick from fresh herbs and spices, crisp vegetables, and choice cuts of meat. Your host will expertly guide you as you discover how to create your very own delicious, authentic Balinese dishes. The cooking class will end with lunch.
Around 3 pm, we will go on rainforest trekking. Enjoy Balinese cuisine for your dinner.
D3 – BALI VILLAGE TOUR – CHECK OUT (B)
After breakfast, we're heading to the village for some morning exploration. We will also visit a local school to see its teaching activities, where you will also be able to exchange some of your native language with the students. Then, we return to the hotel for packing.
Early in the morning, you can witness how the Balinese start their day with serene morning rituals. Balinese Hindus begin their day with offerings called "canning sari," small palm-leaf baskets filled with flowers, rice, and incense. They place these offerings in temples, shrines, and even sidewalks as a sign of gratitude to their gods.
