The Kalimantan orang utan boat tour is one of the most enriching trips you can take as a nature lover. The tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of Tanjung Puting National Park while gaining insight into the lives of the wild orang utans of Borneo. There are three popular destinations that the tour covers - Camp Leakey, Tanjung Harapan, and Pondok Tangguy - all aimed at offering a holistic experience to travelers.
The first stop is Camp Leakey, which is the research center of orang utan conservation. It provides an interactive experience for tourists who are interested in the conservation of this primate species. It is a center dedicated to training and educating people about the orang utans and their natural habitat, and how we can contribute to their preservation. This stop also offers an excellent chance to witness orang utans in action, swinging from one treetop to another.
The second destination on the tour is Tanjung Harapan, where you can observe orang utans in their natural habitat, enjoying their lives in the wild. You can see how they play, search for food, and take care of their young. It's an excellent opportunity to witness the orangutans' activities without interfering with them. You can even feed the orang utans some fruits, which they are fond of.
The third destination on the tour is Pondok Tangguy, which is an orang utan feeding spot. Here, travelers can observe orang utan having breakfast while enjoying a serene view of the forest.
