Upon arrival at the Airport of Maumere on 2 hours flight from Bali , you will be met and transfer to Sea World Club or similar. Rest of the day is free where you can rest and enjoy the white sandy beach at the hotel. (D).

In the morning we will visit the traditional local market in Kawapante , then drive to Watublapi a traditional village in the hills where we can enjoy traditional dances and ikat weaving demonstration. Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Watublapi. Proceed to visit the Bikon Blewut Anthropologi Museum in Ledalero , the traditional Sikka Village on the south coast to visit the 150 year old Portuguese church built in 1899 , Catholic Seminary where the POPE JOHN PAUL (JAN PAWEL II – KAROL JOSEF WOJTILA) stay overnight during his visit in this area in 1989 . This seminary is also the most productive seminary in the world for the Catholic priest. Back to the hotel in Maumere for dinner and overnight (B,L,D).

After breakfast take a scenic drive for 3,5 hours to Larantuka. After breakfast around at 8:00 am we drive to Larantuka with stop at Nangahale village to see the process of making salt. The hard salt is imported from Sumbawa Island by boat and than local people in Nangahale village are cooking it to make it soft. The process is in traditional way. After Nangahale village we will visit Boru Village too see the coffee plantation and coffee fabrick and take picture of Lewotobi volcano. After Nangahale village we continue our trip to Larantuka eith some stops on the way for short walks and take picture of beatuful panorama. Lunch time we will arrive in Larantuka, check in at a small standard hotel. After a short rest , we will join the devotes prepared the route of next day’s procession by planting candle – places along the seven –kilometers road, called the tikam turo ritual. After the candl-places are prepared , devotees went to the chapels to follow the Munda Tuan ritual. During Munda Tuan , a group of specially – selected order, the Konferia Reinha Rosaria ( Brotherhood of Queen or Roses ), bathed the statues of Jesus and Mary. The statues of Jesusu Christ and Virgin Mary brought by Portuguese missionaries Caspar de Espiritu Santo and Augustinho de Magdalena in the 1500s. These statues are only presented to the public every Easter and was kept out-of-view for the rest of the year. The water
used for this bathing was considered holy and was saved to cure ill – children and to help pregnant – ladies having complicated births. Back to the hotel in Larantuka for dinner and overnight (B,L,D).

After breakfast we drive back to Maumere with stops en route for refreshment. Upon arrival at Maumere, check in to Sea World Club for rest and relax. Lunch at local restaurant and Dinner at Sea World Club (B,L,D).

From Maumere we proceed drive to Moni or Detusoko. Rest of the day is for rest and relax and enjoy the cool and pleasant atmosphere of the environment surroundings and you can interact with the local people. Overnight at Flores Sare or at Wisma St. Fransiskus - the Missionary Guest House (B,L,D).

It is worth to experience the sunrise at Kelimutu - the three colored crater lakes (start at about 4 .00 o’clock). Once arrive in Kelimutu one will find something like nowhere, incomparable with known told stories - photos or even moving pictures have seen before. Drive then down hill and visit some villages (Koanara and
Ranggase with traditional houses) to comprehend the Lio ethnic’s daily life and to understand their work of civilization. Such as the typical Lio House, some of them are decorated with breast figure as to symbolize the fertility and prosperity. The Lio people also well known for the Ikat weaving - the tie-dyeing weaving technique. Lunch en route. Afternoon return to Maumere (B,L,D).

Transfer to the airport for flight back to Bali (B). END OF SERVICE
